Donum4’s ACT and SAT Tutoring project focuses on providing tutoring resources to eligible high school students who may not otherwise have access to SAT/ACT preparation sources. We are working with Community in Schools (CIS) to identify qualified students for the program. Highly qualified tutors, including tutors from Advantage Testing of Houston, which has provided educational services in Houston for over 20 years, are assigned to work one-on-one with each student. Students are provided up to 15 hours of free tutoring, the use of which may be tailored to each students’ individual needs and availability. We suggest students meet with a tutor one hour per week, on average, and also allow time for self study and practice tests. The Donum4 Foundation provides funding for the tutors, allowing students to receive the ACT/SAT boost they need without a financial burden.
There is such a vast field of knowledge that I would like to explore and the only way to do that is to go to college and have the college experience.
I want to improve my SAT scores, because it will not only help me have a better chance of getting into colleges, but it will allow me have better reading comprehension, English language, and mathematics skills.
I would like to achieve long-lasting relationships and professional connections, achieve independence, and gain financial responsibility.
