Donum4 supports Land of My Grandfathers (“LOMG”) through grants to aid in facility fortification and improvements. The land has particular meaning to Board member Carl Shaw as a man who has attended several trainings and has staffed at LOMG since 2001. Carl has also attended a father-daughter training with his daughter, Elle, and has attended family outings at this site. For Carl, enhancing this site gives more people the opportunity to share in the spiritual transformation that he sees as inspiring a healthier and happier way to live. He values the opportunity to co-create a special place to provide all walks of life a sanctuary to learn and grow together.
Land of My Grandfathers is a 25-acre retreat center located in North Zulch, Texas. The facility has a special feeling set among rolling central Texas farmland. LOMG is a secular center, open to all groups, all faiths, and all people. It has hosted men’s retreats, women’s retreats, boy’s trainings, father/daughter weekends, spiritual events, family events, and more since 1999.
LOMG’s mission is to fortify the land and facilities by repairing and upgrading the physical structures and enhancing the natural landscape to create a welcome environment where spiritual/transformational work can be conducted by the organizations that call this land home and utilize it to promote peace, love, faith, connection, respect, and a better world for all.
